Practical, anti-racist professional curiosity training for anyone working with children, adults or families.
The signs were there. No one asked the next question.
Safeguarding reviews keep finding the same thing. Concerns were noticed but not explored. Explanations were accepted at face value. Assumptions went unchallenged.
Professional curiosity is easy to talk about and hard to do, especially under pressure, with high caseloads, or when the people we work with don't look or live like us. The CURIOUS® Framework turns it into a practical way of working.
Created in practice, for practice
The CURIOUS® Framework was created by Emily Mitchell-Merron, registered social worker and founder of RiseStrong. It grew out of frontline experience and the repeated lessons of safeguarding reviews.
It gives practitioners a structured, anti-racist approach to professional curiosity that they can use in everyday practice, supervision and decision-making, across children's and adults' safeguarding.
Children's and adults' safeguarding, together
For anyone working with children, adults or families, across education, health, social care, housing, charities and community organisations. Our scenarios cover both children's and adults' safeguarding, so the learning fits whichever setting you work in. No previous training is needed.
