About RiseStrong
RiseStrong was founded to support professionals working in complex, high-risk and emotionally demanding environments, where safeguarding, accountability and sound judgement matter.
The organisation is led by Emily Mitchell, a registered social worker with over 24 years of experience across safeguarding, frontline practice and strategic leadership. Her work spans statutory services, education, health, social care and the voluntary sector, supporting organisations to strengthen practice, culture and decision-making.
Emily brings a rare combination of frontline experience and system-level insight. She has worked directly with children, adults and families, and alongside senior leaders and boards, navigating risk, scrutiny and responsibility in real-world contexts.
RiseStrong has been operating since 2023, delivering training and consultancy that is practitioner-led, legally informed and grounded in lived experience. The work focuses on building confidence, capability and safer systems not tick-box compliance.
At its core, RiseStrong is about creating environments where professionals feel supported to do the right thing, ask better questions and make decisions that centre safety, dignity and humanity.
